The S.A.M. Play Pen (Carnival colours)
I bought this play pen about a month and a half ago to give my hamster some floor time before she was tamed completely. It came to £15.99 for 8 panels in blue, red and yellow. The panels are of a good size, and the play pen is easy to put together. After quite a while, some connections get a bit loose so you have to re-connect them, but that's okay. The panels are metal and very sturdy.
I have one big problem with this product: my hamster has learned to escape from it in two ways. Two of the panels that connect have quite a large space between each-other, about a centimetre or two. My hamster manages to squeeze her whole body through that tiny space - astonishing! But, as my hamster is extremely adventurous and cheeky, she has learned to climb up the panels and over the top! Now, instead, I use two small plastic bin cages as her play pen. I use two or three of the panels from the S.A.M. product to make into a bridge so she can cross over into the other bin. Obviously, I watch her whilst she does this so she doesn't jump off the bridge.
This product is worth the money, until your hammy learns how to escape from it! Although, there are a thousand and one other ways to use the panels from this product and I still use it even if I don't use it as what it was manufactured for! I love it because you bend it into all shapes and sizes and still give your hamster the floor time he needs! But, as hamsters can learn to escape from it within a couple of times of using it, I give the S.A.M. Play Pen a:
5/10
P.S: Never leave your pet unattended during time out of the cage
